Rooted in the philosophy of Mandela, we at the Yellowwood Crown Foundation believe that the opportunity to obtain a tertiary education should be available to all the young minds of our nation, regardless of income or privilege. By providing this opportunity to the young people who we encounter, we hope to plant trees whose fruits future generations of South Africans will enjoy.
ABOUT
At about 60% of all young people, the persistently high youth unemployment rate has long been one of the most pressing socio-economic problems in South Africa. In an economy that demands skilled and experienced work-seekers, uneducated young people are the most vulnerable to unemployment.
We believe that many of these young individuals have the ability to succeed in life but they are not offered the opportunity to rise above their situation.
We at the Yellowwood Crown Foundation aim to change the narrative. We want to provide a leg up to some talented young people who do not have the means to fund their education. We also want to provide advice on possible career opportunities, so that they can make an informed decision about their direction of study. Lastly, we want to provide mentorship to these individuals to ensure that they reach the end goal.

WHAT WE DO
The development of the youth of South Africa is the most important goal of our organisation. We seek to support, empower and provide funding to talented young individuals in South Africa to continue their education. We also provide mentorship and advice to these individuals to ensure they are supported throughout their journey.
SCHOLARSHIPS
With our organisation’s mission always in mind, we strive to find talented individuals who do not have the means to further their education after they have obtained their matric certificate. Based on the needs of the individual, we will provide either partial scholarships or full scholarships that cover their tuition fees, housing and academic materials. MENTORSHIP
At Yellowwood Crown Foundation, we are dedicated to ensure that the individuals who receive scholarships are supported throughout their journey. Through offering advice on career choices to exam tips, we want to join them on their career paths to ensure that they reach the end goal.
